You could practice/simulate fight caves in these worlds without the loss of supplies. I would say the dps increase from the Karil'ls compensates for the loss of prayer from the book (the longer you have to kill magers + have mage pray on the more ppots you use per wave). Rebalancing Blog looks pretty good, but don't neglect the Karil's Crossbow please. Karils Crossbow is a pretty neat weapon that could fit snugly into the range meta. It's slightly better than a magic shortbow with rune arrows, and obtaining it for ironmen isn't too difficult (ammo included, there's an NPC shop).Karil's armour set. Compared to a magic shortbow (i) with amethyst arrows (the best arrows it can use) karils crossbow/bolt racks have 9 higher attack bonus, same range strength as amethyst arrows, a longer attack range, and same attack speed; so its already a slightly better weapon for about same cost (55 per bolt rack vs [360*0.2] per arrow with assembler, add 6gp/shot for repair cost for just crossbow, or 30gp ... Karil’s will give you the best DPS but it gets pricey since the bolt racks aren’t saved by Ava’s devices. The massive range (10 squares vs rcb 7 vs karil 8) is really nice to have and the thing is pretty damn accurate (100 vs rcb 90 and karils 84) with decent damage splats (78 range str vs karils 55 and rcb addy bolts 100/mith 82). When I asked on how to upgrade from my b dhide top some clan members told me to buy arma/karil's. Now, arma is wayyy to expansive for me, so I looked up Karil's. The offensive stats on it are the same as dhide. Melee def stats are worse. It does have better mage def and 2 more range def which both are meh.Replaces rcb at some places pre-blowpipe.
